My lovely rejection email said because they were so busy they couldn't provide feedback, but then I got an automated email a week later asking me for feedback on the recruitment process. Seems insane but I'm viewing it as a rite of passage! I ran the gauntlet 😂

@randahl@mastodon.social I'm glad politicians are leaving X, but I wish Mastodon was safer for minorities. Unfortunately it will remain very "monochrome" until the abuse side is looked at more.

@randahl@mastodon.social there are a number of places, the best way to find out is actually see where minorities are currently using for social media. There was a push to move the BLM twitter movement to mastodon when Elon bought it out, but it didn't take. There was a lot of racist abuse sent, and at the time (and my understanding is it is still the case) the anti abuse features weren't up to the standard needed. A lot of folk just left at that stage, to places like bluesky for example.
