It's a thang.
Just had my laptop freak out, a youtube video stopped unexpectedly, then I noticed a drive dismount unexpectedly and my keyboard was freaking out. Finally figured out I had to power cycle my CalDigit TS4, that seemed to do the trick, but then I noticed there was a firmware upgrade, two of them, Thunderbolt Firmware Updater and Thunderbolt Ports USB PD (Power Delivery) Firmware.
