We've been working on exposing some of Reveal's core functions via command-line tools — with the goal being to give coding agents access to audit your app, and then iterate on suggestions and guidance to fix any issues that are identified.

If this sounds useful, please give the upcoming beta of Reveal 58 a try, and let us know how it works for you: https://revealapp.com/updates/58-beta-2/

We've had a number of developers contact us in recent years about why we don't offer integration via Swift Package Manager. Unfortunately, there are limitations in Swift Package Manager that mean that once integrated, there's no way to avoid our RevealServer framework being linked into release builds.

I've written up the details a little on our help site: https://support.revealapp.com/article/46-integrating-using-swift-package-manager

As always, if you think you have a neat way to work around this limitation, I'd love to hear it!

@natanrolnik@mastodon.social yes, it is expected. We've been trying to move across to using our Itty Bitty Labs signing signatures for a while now, and finally did in this release.

@nckh@mastodon.social sorry about this, Greg — we unintentionally cleared out some verification tokens recently and it's causing the app to throw up this message. I know it's inconvenient, but re-entering your existing license should get you straight back in.

These rules are based on a combination of industry and platform-specific guidelines and best practices. They provide you with information about what the issue is, how to address it, and references for further reading. They cover the big, the small, the very visible, and the very subtle. Between them, they will help you catch issues that can severely affect the user experience of your apps. And — the vast majority of these rules work for apps built with SwiftUI. https://revealapp.com/news/introducing-insights-and-new-pricing/

Here are a few examples of the types of issues Insights can detect. Let’s start with something big and easy. It can detect lack of landscape support, both on an app and individual screen level.

Let’s do something more subtle.

Like whether a button’s accessibilityLabel is the same as an image filename or an SF symbol key.
