@marjolica @InkySchwartz @pluralistic "Overhead, without any fuss, the stars were going out."

@InkySchwartz @pluralistic It'll cost $3T to catalogue the nine billion names of God?

@jerojasro @davidrevoy It's glowing because there's a dwarf nearby. Don't let your lantern go out, or a grue will eat you.

@davidrevoy@framapiaf.org I've been using computers for nearly 50 years, have owned more than I can remember, wish I still had some of those that are long gone, and worked in computers, both maintaining PCs and bigger *nix systems. I've seen RAM problems, but not often, and I've run the Linux Memtest many times when I thought I might have RAM issues, but ultimately didn't. In my experience, RAM failures were more common when the modules were discrete DIP chips. My main desktop is over ten years old and is maxed with DDR3.

@QasimRashid@mastodon.social We must never let the Republicans (and the Democrats) forget that Eisenhower colluded in 1953 with Churchill to overthrow Iran's democratically-elected government so that the UK could maintain control of Iran's oil. They installed the Shah, which led to the 1979 revolution, which led to the brutal theocracy Iran has today. Republicans made Iran what it is today.
