I play harmonica and sing in a choir, and generally try to make a little bit of music. I like camping and hiking, I have a tiny tiny campervan. I also have a lovely dog. I work, but that's not so interesting.

I made a few footpath pics during my holiday, it should keep me going for a few weeks of #footpathfriday ! This one was taken yesterday, in Exmoor National Park.

@transactualuk@mastodon.social Sadly I don't use any of those other platforms, they have a negative impact on my mental health.
Only Mastodon allows me to curate content in a way that isn't harmful to me.
Transactual was the only UK trans organisation using Mastodon. If you leave, it will leave me and others like me more isolated.
I can only guess there aren't enough of us here for you to feel it's worth the effort 🤷♀️
Thanks for all the work you're doing in any case, you are very valued.

@Philsan@mastodon.world Wow, so presumably all the rendering is done by the Raspberry Pi in the cartridge. The pico runs at 133Mhz, 16 times faster than an ST !

To finish off my short holiday I went to the Valley of the Rocks and did some other coastal walks today. I managed 420m of ascent overall, it was quite challenging. Last night camping, and I'll be heading home tomorrow. #exmoornationalpark

@Caiotekit@convo.casa The rule of thumb is if you want to do classical or jazz, go for the Chromatic. If you want to do blues or country, go for the diatonic. There's a lot of other styles of music of course, they all fall somewhere in between !
The Chromatic requires more maintenance, but the diatonic is harder to learn at first.
A good player will do well with either in any case.

@beecycling Put people in a position where they have to "cheat" by doing some of these things during work hours. To avoid being noticed/caught they will then accept everything you throw their way, and won't complain about anything.
Same reason Christianity all but forbade sex, or governements make drugs such as cannabis illegal.

@alexlomas@infosec.exchange @transactualuk@mastodon.social I can imagine LinkedIn is a good platform for reaching employers. It's important employers get proper information so they can push back against the bigots.
Not a reason to leave here, but LinkedIn makes sense to me.

@bitnos@mastodon.gal Yes, it's from the UK. I've never been to Galicia, what makes it similar? The gorse (that's the yellow bushes) ? They're quite common in the UK, especially in places with impoverished grounds.
