Dear users, Chrome has been disabling the extensions little by little, as we have not yet updated it to the newest extensions API. If podStation is disabled, you should still be able to re-enable it on the settings. Check the screenshot. This is not a permanent solution though.
podStation
mastodon 4.7.3An open source podcast aggregator packaged as a browser extension, coming also as a progressive web app sometime in the future.
This is the current Draft PR for a refactoring I consider necessary before the actual migration from MV2 to MV3. 66 commits and counting.
The new local storage engine is looking ugly and I still need to couple it with the sync storage, rewrite tests and the integration with some other parts of the application. Boy, what a journey... One step at a time.

A small victory to start the year, after being live for years as a browser extension, I finally managed to get the domain https://podstation.org!
🎉🎊🥳
We reached recently our 400th review in Chrome Web Store and we continue to maintain a very good average of 4.7 out of 5!
🎉
v1.47.4 is out, some internal technical refactoring (please let me know if you experience any side effect) - also, it fixes a minor issue introduced with v1.47.3 (AngularJS update) - the miniplayer that appears when you scroll down was not showing up anymore.
Hello podStation users!
A bit of critical news for you, if we don't adopt Chrome's Manifest V3 by June, there will be no more podStation, so start sending some love to boost my motivation!

Good news, the continuous integration and deployment (#CICD) pipeline is back in action 🎉.
Over the past days I have migrated from TravisCI (no more easy free tier there 💲) to GitHub Actions.
More trouble than I expected, but the end result is better than what I had before.
This means v1.47.5 will be out soon (after a almost an almost two years hiatus), pending Chrome Web Store review. No big change or fix, just announcing the upcoming changes to the users, but it is a start!
ℹ️🚨Hello podStation users!
I have bad news. I'm unlikely to finish the required updates on podStation in time, to keep it operational after July 2024. It may be disabled in your browser automatically as early as July 2024. I still plan to work on it and bring it "back to life", if it is affected, in the near future. I suggest that you download your list of subscribed podcasts and start getting familiar with other players. This page gives more information on how to do that.

@james@bne.social @dellagustin@fosstodon.org Hi James, it is not actively developed at the moment, but still very much usable, to my best knowledge.
Which install button is not working? You should still be able to install it in the chrome web store: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/podstation-podcast-player/bpcagekijmfcocgjlnnhpdogbplajjfn
