This man is shameful and is basically a political arsonist. The sooner he is out of our government, the better. Ugh.

Taking our enemies at their word
One of the lessons from October 7 is to take our enemies threats seriously. I hope this is an enduring lesson.

I think this series is becoming a prequel to The Expanse 🤔

One day I'll be able to update my Mastodon instance without breaking it, restoring a server snapshot, and procrastinating a bit longer ...
My homework assignment to visit a museum from our CEO
So, our CEO suggested a fun "homework" assignment—visiting a museum. I chose the Hasmonean Heritage Museum and really enjoyed it! The hands-on exhibits about Modiin's history were super engaging. The highlight was the interactive timeline and a cool 4D movie. Overall, a unique experience that connected past and present nicely!

Websites don't need to have *all* the animations available. It's ok to have a limited subset of animations and transitions (or none).
@phillycodehound@indieweb.social Thanks for the suggestion. I managed to update my instance eventually. I was skipping some key commands when I running through the steps, which was silly. I was also skipping releases so I went through each release second time around.
This quote by Amit Segal is probably one of the most important paradigm shifts in Israel since October 7:
"Israel made a commitment in the past few years: people calling for the destruction of Israel will be taken at their word and dealt with as such."
Quietly preserve your WordPress site with the Internet Archive Wayback Machine
Link rot is an increasing issue on the Web, leading to inaccessible sites and broken links. To address this, Automattic and the Internet Archive have launched the free Internet Archive Wayback Machine Link Fixer plugin for WordPress. This tool scans websites, preserves content, and redirects users to archived versions of missing pages.
@carlmalamud@official.resource.org I didn't realise there have been that many iterations of the COVID vaccine
I've been reading @emmanewman@mindly.social 's Split Worlds series. Really good stories, well worth reading. Especially if you are into relatively modern fantasy based on Fae lore.
I use Claude daily and it's very useful to me, even when it has its moments and hallucinations. Search with Claude is ok, mostly, but certainly isn't one of its stronger features.
Claude uses Brave Search. Wouldn't it be awesome if we could connect Claude to our preferred search provider?
Search is something that ChatGPT does much better. I don't use Perplexity or Gemini much, so this is just based on what I use.
I'm listening to a discussion in the latest Vergecast. @nilay_patel and @david_pierce are talking about OpenAI allowing "adult" ChatGPT conversations. One of them made reference to "sticky" apps and that suddenly took on a very different meaning in the context of the conversation.
