bookwyrm 0.9.3Mostly reading fantasy and science fiction books, reading while commuting is genius :D
Nahri an young woman stumbles into an interesting world of djinn and magic as we discover more and more of this interesting world. The world building is good, and the characters are interesting. The story is good and it has it's surprises from time to time. All in all a good book that quite a few people would enjoy.
The world in Stormlight Archive is an interesting one and we really start to see the larger Cosmere in this book. The world building is expanded nicely with both new things and also getting an history lessons of important events on Roshar. Along with the world building is the character development really good and feels natural. And I really enjoyed the story arc with Kaladin and Szeth, to bee fair Kaladin is probably my favorite character in this series. Alodin is another character that I really enjoyed the journey of in this book, with his defense of Azimir, and how that changes him.
This book ends the first story arc of the Stormlight Archive and it manages to tie up quite a few story arches nicely while also setting up quite a few other story lines to be continued in the next arc. I'm really looking forward to see how the surprises at the end of the story plays out in the Cosmere.
The strength of the few, picks up the story right where the will of the many left of. And the revelations at the end of the will of the many is dealt with really well. This books feels more like the classical fantasy book to me in large part to how Luceum works. Res and Obiteum are more Science fantasy coded in my mind.
It's interesting to see how the different copies of Vis in the different worlds evolve and become three different persons. The world building is still fantastic and the expanded universe is really interesting to explore and the characters are developed well. The story suffer a little bit with being the second book in an ongoing story by having some plot lines being mostly setup for the third book, especially the Res story line.
All in all I'd recommend this book and series to everyone that enjoyes fantasy or science fiction books.
What to say about this one... I'll need some time to digest it before I'm able to write a review.

I know most people classify it as fantasy, however I kind of look more at it like science fantasy. Caten is a really interesting world inspired by the Roman Republic. The world building is detailed but not overly so, and there are still many mysteries to be solved in the future books. The ending really spices things up in regards to world building. Vis Telimus the protagonist and the characters he interact with during the books are all well described and interesting, and they have great character developments during the story. I really look forward to see where this story is going and I'd recomend this book to any fantasy or science fiction lover.
I'm really looking forward to see where this story progresses and how it's world keeps expanding

I really like this story, just following one character Geralt instead of 3 as in the later books, makes everything flow better for me. The world is still brilliant and having this shorter more contained story is really nice. The story takes place in between the final short story and the main novel, however it's no pre-requisit having read any of the other Withcer books. Most people that enjoy fantasy will enjoy this book.
This is my least favorite book of the three books in the trilogy, that's not to say that the book is bad though. Keep in mind that there are some years since I read book two in the series. The story flows well, but in some way's feel a bit rushed, I'd love to have some more time spend developing the plot, characters and the world. We get to explore new areas but we just seem to scratch the surface of them. The characters are interesting to follow and they have some good development through the story although it suffers a little bit for power-creep which unfortunately lessens the impact of the bad guys in the book. Definitely worth reading if you've enjoyed the other books in the series.
While the books isn't getting any points for originality was the end of the story at least reasonable interesting.

The ending really rises a few questions that hopefully will be answered in the next book.

Jay Kristoff has again crafted an interesting world, with an interesting story that also throws in a few surprises.
