It's #Marchintosh 2026! I've created a thread over on tinkerdifferent to capture all the projects. Reply here or there and I'll keep it updated as best I can.

The past few days has been another good reminder that people, sites, downloads can just disappear at anytime.
MacGUI removed all 40k downloads from their site. There is a 2013 torrent but not even close.
A popular vintage forum had multiple days of downtime with a history of loosing data.
vMac's primary author has been gone for 2 years now.
If it's not backed up to @internetarchive@mastodon.archive.org - it doesn't really exist.
Edit: 3 DVD archive MacGUI Vault is inbound to me.
Why, in 2026 and the year of the linux desktop, do we still require users to be added to dialout or uucp for serial/tty access? A papercut based on 1970's-1990's concerns that just dont seem relavant anymore in the desktop/single/nouser vm/container/etc world. I'm sure there' still _some_ that rely on this nuance but might be time for a change.
