Some friends were sharing how they use ChatGPT to find recipes based on what ingredients they have available. There are plenty of websites out there that do that already, without using non-trivial amounts of water and energy. I guess some people can't even be bothered to search these days. For me, searching is one of the joys of the web. That interconnectedness... the possibilities of stumbling on new things and learning along the way. Seek and you shall find; prompt and blunt your mind. #AI

If you're a UK resident, please consider signing this petition to ban NHS services from purchasing accessibility overlays, plugins or toolbars for their websites.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/765480

They don't work, cause harm and are a waste of NHS money.

Petition: Ban NHS services from purchasing accessibility overlays, plugins or toolbars
Petitions - UK Parliament and UK Government

Petition: Ban NHS services from purchasing accessibility overlays, plugins or toolbars

Prohibit all NHS bodies from purchasing or using accessibility overlays, toolbars, plugins or widgets. The Government should instead mandate that all NHS digital infrastructure meets WCAG 2.2 AA standards natively, ensuring full compatibility with users' own assistive technologies.

@TimWardCam @rachel They could save a bit by not buying into the accessibility overlay scam: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/765480

@FourQ@mastodon.online Hi - I'm not talking about banning any accessibility functionality that is already provided by a browser or operating system, or assistive technology. I'm talking about banning the type of software documented at https://overlayfactsheet.com/en/ Hope that helps clarify.
