Last year when I was making my kid's birthday spaceship I had to learn the ins and outs of ellipse math to get the pieces to fit together. This would have been extremely useful at that time!!!

I hate when I start looking at reddit or youtube shorts and when I look up ten thousand years have passed and I'm sitting in the mouldering ruins of my castle. I like to think the algorithm can't fool me but obviously these tumbled heaps of mossy stone say otherwise.

I sometimes think about how many people are running home games with incredible house rules or full on homebrew systems that only one single table will ever experience. I bet there are tons.

I've been sick the last few days and I'm sick of it. I'm getting really bored of being cooped up in bed, but I also to have zero energy and can't do stuff.

I've decided to deliberately practise more tolerance in my life. I'll admit I've been surprised at the negative reactions from my family and coworkers just because I've started with lactose.

Just learned that Peter Cushing was apparently into wargaming and mini painting. That rules.

I helped some kid jump start her car in a parking lot this morning. I felt very dad-core. I seldom lean into societal gender expectations but I was glad to be able to fullfil them today.

Spent the morning gathering fallen sticks in the yard.

Mustered the energy to walk the dog and was treated to the bike-chain sound of katydids! Spotted one taking off and followed it for a picture.

I just heard my front door creak and my dog and I went over to investigate. It was quite breezy outside so I said to the dog "must have been the wind."
I'm getting fus-roh-dah'ed, aren't I?

Yes!! Incredible, moving, touching, funny stories with an audience of one ttrpg group. There are zillions! Kind of a bittersweet thought to me.
