@harrymccracken@mastodon.social This is such funny timing: This week I've been considering buying a 12-inch PowerBook G4 (my old college laptop!) specifically to run Word 2004, the last verson I "liked." Trying my hand at some fiction writing (probably not for publication, at least not for a long time haha) and am trying to sample the macOS landscape: IA Writer, Ulysses, Pages (er, maybe the old Pages).

@siracusa@mastodon.social @dave@rascalking.com I actually built a thing recently that monitors local Tucson town hall meetings and using Deepgram creates a live transcript then uses Sonnet to turn that transcript into an AP-style news report. I edit before publication but it's working amazing so far. Here's last night's run: https://tucsondailybrief.com/news-reports/orovalley-2026-05-06.html
