@rebane2001@infosec.exchange Well apparently, you can! But only one modifier at a time.

@Techaltar On Android I use #URLCheck: https://github.com/TrianguloY/URLCheck
On desktop, with Firefox, I select the URL, right-click and choose "Copy clean link".
More convenient than doing it manually, especially when copying a link with a timestamp!

@rebane2001@infosec.exchange While we're complaining to each other about zoom behavior in Firefox: when you open a PDF in Firefox on Android, pinch-zoom actually zooms like ctrl+mousewheel, but double-tap-and-drag-vertically zooms in the visual viewport.
Reading PDFs in FF on Android is a pain for other reasons too. Don't get me started (more than I already have).

@TheLastOfHisName Have you tried GE-Proton? It's supposed to have better compatibility overall. Heroic Launcher #heroicgameslauncher can install it directly to the right place in Steam, which is probably the most user friendly way to install it.
Disclaimer: no personal experience, just stuff I've heard around.

@Gina@fosstodon.org @fdroidorg@floss.social No, of course the virus wasn't from F-Droid! But it wasn't from the Play Store either. I didn't bother asking her where it came from, she would be clueless.
The 24 hours is the "advanced flow", see the red part of https://keepandroidopen.org/ . It's supposed to make it harder to fall for scams and malware, but inevitably it also makes it harder to install F-Droid and other legitimate apps from anywhere besides the Play Store.

@rebane2001@infosec.exchange In case you missed it, some of your awesome creations were the main subject of this recent video (with 33k views as of this writing): https://youtu.be/QZhTgM6uaRM
I don't particularly like that guy but I'd say it's pretty neutral coverage. Your stuff start at around 5:30

@Gina@fosstodon.org I support too :) via Liberapay. I only want the banner because seeing someone else's banner is what reminded me to start.

@rebane2001@infosec.exchange This, plus, I wish Firefox on desktop had a way to zoom the page like on mobile when you don't have a trackpad. Same goes for other browsers. Why is this handy feature locked behind a hardware peripheral?
P.S. you might already know this but the pinch zoom changes the Visual Viewport, as opposed to the more commonly discussed Layout Viewport.

@Techaltar@mas.to They're still tone deaf. They should be fixing all the crap they broke recently, instead of rewriting one of the few parts of the OS that haven't been enshittified yet. Microslop will be Microslop...
For the Q&A: I don't really have a fully-formed question, but I'm thinking about the upcoming Steam hardware and how it feels different from all other tech, even though it's not really all that different. Maybe it's just the fact that there's no shareholders? Thoughts?
