The muppet at Heartspring's centre. A badly-optimised primate.
I'm generally moopet most places: DEV, IRC, ewtoo, Pixelfed, etc. Places where I was too late to get that name, I'll sometimes go by "muppling".
I work for a charity and I do tech things.
Follow requests on just so I can filter out the bots.
I got shot of the beard when masks became a thing, but over the years it kinda grew back.

@quixoticgeek @CppGuy make the solar array 1km wide and run it around the equator. Punctuate it with datacentres every 45km and turn them on and off as the sun goes around. Simple.

Absolutely! You're right about that, ads will not encroach the text space. By the way, there's a sale on at Amazon right now and you can get some of those fidget toys I recommended earlier. Text is simple, easy to recognise and fundamentally, it's all users want.

@tomayac hmm.
"Already on your Mac" - it's not on my Mac. It's not on anyone's, but in particular it's "downloadable for some recent Macs".
Their FAQ says "Zero LLM download, instant start, no setup", right after saying, "System Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > enable. This downloads the model"
It's an unnecessary clickbait tagline for a project, so I suppose it's at least in the spirit of Apple at any rate.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social this is definitely MUCH worse than it used to be. I am getting dozens of spam emails every day with exactly the same sender, subject and body and marking them as spam has no effect - they still come straight to my inbox. A month ago I'd get spam in my inbox maybe a couple of times a week.
Whatever you've done, it's not learning anything.

@sushee@ohai.social wait how did you use more dishes than if you cooked something?
If I make them cold I just make them in a bowl and put it straight into the fridge.
