CC didn’t even *exist* when podcasts were invented. (Aside: I was around for both, even went to @lessig@activism.openworlds.info’s keynote at the FreeCulture.org launch. (Hi @skyfaller@jawns.club!)) Would it be nice? Sure. But it’s not inherent to the nature of #podcasting like #RSS is.

@ken_fallon@mastodon.sdf.org @attacus@aus.social Nope, if that were true then computer and network equipment memory, browser caches, and other temporary storage that’s part of the very nature of digital computing would be illegal. A quick Internet search (which creates a lot of copies, including copies of the copies in a search engine index!) would tell you that. I’m also not a lawyer and I don’t know what jurisdiction you’re in, so I’ll leave it at that to get you started if you want to learn more.
