I have thousands of packages mostly due to transitive dependencies, even when using i3, as it's not just the DE's dependencies
Makes updating things a pain sometimes. Or it's just my skill issue using a rolling release distro

@lenka@shark.lenka.moe @Starcross@mk.absturztau.be I get binary size bloat but why incompatibility? From a developer's point of view, why would I want to call out to a library where the version I tested is different from the version the user runs?
I suppose patch/minor version number differences are probably compatible. Dynamic "linking" could work in interpreted languages, but seems like C object libraries make more breaking changes between small versions...idk
