Today I learned that my postman has seen ELO play live and I'm SO jealous.

"atm" may be longer than "rn", but at least it can't be mistaken for a lower case "m".
Just ask the senior management of Washbum guitars.
IT'S HERE! NEW ALBUM NOW AVAILABLE.

Remember the good old nineteen eighties
When things were so uncomplicated?
I wish I could go back there again
And everything could be the same.

This guy is brilliant.

It's here! Instant purchase :)
I'd love to see an option in music player apps to switch between "by track" and "by album" for playlists.
In album mode:
* Each playable thing will be an entire album in order from start to finish.
* Skipping will skip the whole album and start playing the next one.
* Shuffle mode will shuffle the albums but keep the tracks in order on each album.
If only this could happen! But they're not interested, are they? :(
Today's discovery: high-powered electric turbo dusters are great for cleaning tin whistles.
I don't think I've heard this done before. What a fascinating idea.
Exciting news! A new album (pre-release) from the very sublime and wonderful Younger Brother.

Check out these beautiful piano improvisations from @muz4now@mastodon.world - they're just wonderful.
From the album, Steganogram:

THEME: Technological sustainability
ENCODING: Oscilloscope XY writing
Here's a post about my latest album from my wonderful mastering engineer, John Elleson-Hartley. I recommend John highly if you're looking for that polished sound...!

Cool video, great hooks. I like this!
Twenty years on, this is still brilliant.
I wonder whether some extraordinarily clever artist could make a much more expansive version of M C Escher's "Print Gallery", in which we begin with a quark and zoom out to the entire observable universe during a 360-degree rotation, showing the whole universe as being packed into the quark...
And no, I have NO idea what would be involved but I'm sure it would be a huge challenge...
This is gorgeous.
A productive planning day and a walk around a lake.
I've fixed some of the narrative structure issues by relocating some scenes as interstitial teasers.
I also named the three parts, which helps to solidify their functions. Part one is finished, and is called "Parabolic Ark". It's quite hard to find names that are not spoilers, but I feel they're important. I'm the opposite of Terry Pratchett in that respect: I'm all about chapters and titles :)
Back to making music soon...
I haven't mentioned it for a while so some of you might be unaware of this: I have a book of music for sale! It features eight of my own piano solos and is available here.

Take a listen to this, and pay close attention to the vocal and all the backing vocals during the harmonies.
I assume Eva was performing the BVs as well. In any case, the vibrato on all the parts was, to my ears, entirely in phase and in sync throughout. I wasn't sure that was even possible until now.
What an amazing performance!
The mad fool has done it AGAIN!
This is a great insight into the sound mixing process for Stranger Things!
Wow, WHAT a voice!
Almost a whole hour of sheer joy for synth nerds.
