@mahryekuh@hachyderm.io it's called flat design because it often falls flat in real world use.

Went to sleep with 24 hours of battery life left on my #Garmin watch. Woke up 6 hours later to a dead battery. I don't have amazing luck with Garmin watches, huh?

@mahryekuh@hachyderm.io I am sure it’s very powerful but to me Taskfile looks so much more accessible.
Hoping that this oil crisis wakes people up to the fact that nuclear is our only viable alternative to fossil fuels. But who am I kidding? Nutjobs thinking nuclear is unsafe are still out there.
Did my tax return in less than 10 minutes. On with the day. A run is next on the menu.

@mahryekuh@hachyderm.io give them a break for they've got nothing else to do after they've pulled up the ladder behind themselves.
I found out I had bought the wrong Apple Pencil for my wife when I got her her new iPad Air. Her previous Pencil wasn't compatible anymore with the new iPad coming off a second gen iPad Pro. I got her the base model Pencil, but that lacks features she had in her old pencil. Ordered the Pencil Pro yesterday at 11pm and it's arriving this afternoon. Logistics, man.
I'm in awe of these photos from the Artemis II mission https://www.nasa.gov/gallery/lunar-flyby/
Went back to regular running a while ago.
Resting heart rate is now 47. Vo2Max at 50 and rising. I can also again easily hold zone 2 at reasonable pace. I feel like my body is reacting well this time around.
My smol blog now scores 100/100/100/100 on Pagespeed again. Woo!
1.5 is now available for download 🎉
The first few sales of my in-app purchase have happened! That's insane.
Xur is selling a god tier auto rifle called The Riposte. This thing absolutely rips. #destiny
Merged a nice refresh of my website/blog.
Amsterdam today.
In remembrance of my friend and colleague who passed away last week, the family asked to donate to cancer research and trees for all. Feels good to at least do something in an awful situation like this.

@FRYTG@beoriginal.social @kevin@gimbel.dev @oliverboehme@troet.cafe whataboutism doesn't really help here. It's quite easy not to use this thing that actively promotes fascism while at the same time is destroying the climate even further. You can't complain about 40 degrees heat and use these things extensively, but that's beside the point here.

@FRYTG@beoriginal.social if you have some compute available at home i don't see why not, a cloudflare tunnel is very reliable as well, just have to add a cloudflared container to the setup.

@karl @thomasfuchs Interesting! I guess my Roomba i7's are working still, and I hope they will for a while. Otherwise I hope they will either open up the API for these devices (not holding my breathe) or we find a way to reverse engineer. Don't want to throw away perfectly usable hardware obviously.
Day 11 of coughing my lungs out and resigning to the couch so my wife can get some sleep in. Been averaging 3 hours of sleep over those 11 days myself. Ugh.

@FRYTG@beoriginal.social would you say a series 10 or whatever the latest is + Runna would suffice for running?
Beautiful
I’ll be at the Amsterdam AWS summit on May 27!
Over the past week I've been adding unit tests to CalAction. 57 tests to make sure the core of the app which does ICS parsing, is always working correctly. Very happy with the progress there.
Also released a bunch of small UI fixes and some performance improvements.
Version 1.5 will land in the App Store soon. https://calaction.mijndertstuij.nl/
Of course after posting this little rant about my Garmin watch someone wrote in to say I'm an idiot and I'm surely using it wrong because they've never had that issue before.

@FRYTG@beoriginal.social a few years ago, one of my big corporate clients gave me a Dell laptop with a smartcard reader because their smartcard was the only way to get into their applications.
Needless to say, I connected a smartcard reader to my Mac, extracted the certificate off the smartcard (which had a validity for 90 years believe it or not), dumped the certificate into Keychain and I no longer needed the Dell.

@FRYTG@beoriginal.social this is totally off topic, but you use an Apple Watch for all your sports, right? How's that going? Context: https://mijndertstuij.nl/posts/garmin-needs-to-do-better/
The best thing about my Steam Deck right now is Greenlight. Using it to play Destiny 2 when the tv is in use.

@FRYTG@beoriginal.social do you use the built-in workouts app and some kind of plan for any running or do you just go by feel? Sorry, lots of questions.
I keep forgetting I still have to sell my M1 MacBook Air. It's just sitting there, collecting dust. I hate selling stuff though.

@FRYTG@beoriginal.social how do you come up with these plans per day? currently i let "daily suggested workouts" be my guide a little bit, which is a built-in garmin feature.
