Change the mix mode to color erase-- this deletes only the colors where it's the same color on the layer below (leaving everything that doesn't exist on the other layer alone; in this case the drawing). It's not perfect, but it gives us a good enough reconstruction with some leftover colors (since it's compressed there's some inconsistencies)
So we clean that up in a new drawing-- We'll apply a threshold to turn everything above a certain value white (this should be simple, since the drawing is black!!!)
Then I simply added a white layer so the leftovers fade away

We can play around with the threshold to what we thinks looks best without deleting so much of the original drawing, and that's about it

I'm sure there's a better way
