Next variety to ripen are the Costoluto Fiorentino. A medium-sized ribbed, relatively early, heirloom. We eat them fresh, but use them for roasting later in the season when the later heirlooms come in.

Lots of varieties of tomatoes starting to ripen now, but the next one in most quantity are the Jaune Flamme. These are yellow/orange, about twice the size of cherry tomatoes. Third year I've planted them and they are now one of my favorites for salads and eating fresh.

California Sea Lions at the Shilshole Marina yesterday. There were probably over 150 of them covering two docks. Most were sleeping with a handful noisily barking.
