That will go great with advertisers.

Es hat Mastodon zum Leben erweckt, viele "normies" sind zu Mastodon gekommen einfach Fertig sind mit twitter.
Es zeigt auch das es eine bessere Alternative zu twitter gibt.
Ich habe auch geschafft mich dadurch von Twitter zu loesen. Lese nur noch Notifications - und da gibts nicht mehr viel wenn man nicht mehr selber postet.

I'd like to point to /pol/ which is rather ugly at times.

Same with most of the centrist, leftish and not white male people.
And then twitter is just a 4chan.org/pol/ or /b/ with a different interface
