Not sure how I managed to get a partial double exposure on this one but I kinda don’t mind it.

Adriatic figs from the market yesterday. So sweet. It’s like they’re filled with jam.
I’m headed overseas for a week, and for the first time since I can remember I’m not traveling with a film camera. Made the last minute call to swap out my MP and a brick of Tri-X with the M10 Monochrom. Camera #2 is a GRiv Monochrome. All digital, all black & white trip. Who even am I?

"I love my fed-ex guy ‘cause he's a drug dealer and he doesn't even know it...and he's always on time."
- Mitch Hedberg.
I remember reading a John Peel interview that included this quote decades ago. It was a very formative time for me, and Peel’s words (and work) were deeply impactful. I still hold this as a mantra when it comes to music.
“I just want to hear something I haven't heard before” - John Peel
I love the New York Public Library’s Flickr account. So much cool stuff. https://flickr.com/photos/32951986@N05
“I saw that the camera could be a weapon against poverty, against racism, against all sorts of social wrongs. I knew at that point I had to have a camera.” - Gordon Parks

I quit drinking a few years ago (mostly—I’ll have a little somethin’ once in a very long while), and I don’t miss it at all. But I do miss bars. I liked being in bars, dark ones with good jukeboxes, by myself, around bar people.
Old friend of mine is English, put himself through university working at a bookmakers in London. British boxing enthusiast from way back. Has said to me for years, “AJ’s always been a bit too chinny, mate. Makes him a questionable champ.” And you see that in fights like today’s. Anthony Joshua recovered from being knocked down twice in round 1 to win by KO in round 2. But this was a tuneup fight and his opponent Kristian Prenga is a tomato can. Serious contenders have always been a problem for AJ because he’s inconsistent and too chinny. #boxing
64 (18) degrees, 84% humidity. Not hot not cold not raining (yet) not dry. In the Bay we call this earthquake weather, in Dublin it’s Sunday.
