As I turn back into myself, one of my realizations about having COVID was how surprised I was. I avoided it for three years. I got it basically as soon as I dropped my guard. I mean, I was doing book events as part of what we'll smilingly call my job, but I did not wear a mask.
COVID self-talk as I sit and try to focus on anything:
Felt *knocks wood* less sick today, but a wave of physical tiredness just hit and it is WILD. Feels like I am working against gravity. Am I moving to the Next Level?
COVID, day 14. Things are...maybe improving? I may be turning back into a person? A new, better person?
COVID, day 15, as symptoms recede and I try to put a positive spin on things.

Just looked and saw Prince Andrew, JKR, and Glinner are trending. Who's the fourth horseman here? Looks like it's go time.
I'm not being funny--are the Eagles doing something? Because I have to go to Philly when I recover and I need to know how many batteries to bring.
I swear that as soon as I get over COVID I going to find @rianjohnson@twitter.com's lab where he makes his creations. I'll get in through the vents. I will go, and there I shall live, in the mystery mansion.
COVID really does make you foggy. I keep forgetting what I'm doing. I went to microwave Dex's food the other day and didn't even notice that the microwave had other things in it and just microwaved everything.
Feels pretty grim to have the HarperCollins label on my books with this guy in charge. (And yes, @hcpunion@twitter.com is still on strike trying to get a tiny wage increase in order to live.)
