Life is more rewarding when you’re invested in things.

I watched The Odyssey yesterday and LOVED it. What a film.
We should react with “Ew,” then completely ignore whatever tried to rage-bait us more often.

We met at the park to paint trees. Nils painted Mareen and me instead. Weird choice, but I guess our new outdoor painting club doesn’t benefit from rules that are too strict.

I’m always a bit nervous about drawing and painting in public because I don’t always feel very confident in what I’m doing, and having someone look over my shoulder isn’t very conducive to my process. For the first time, someone actually stopped what they were doing, came over, asked me a couple of questions, and shared their art journey with me and it was... nice. I liked it. If you see me painting in public, say hi. But please don’t stalk me just to say ...

And I was invited to a wedding but didn’t draw either the bride or the groom. Plus a whole week of diary comics in this new issue of my newsletter!
It’s sometimes hard to cope with the fact that all my friends improve so much at running in such a short time, even though I train three times a week.

100 Days of Daily Drawing: https://marcel.io/posts/100-days-of-daily-drawing
I bought a second-hand table and set it up in my office as a dedicated art desk! It’s great and really cosy. Kind of like the Sheep Detective film we watched at the open-air cinema. Come to think of it, it was a great day overall.

Millimeter didn’t actually react like that. That was just my attempt to make the cartoon a bit less boring.

Very happy with how this gets posted automagically now. Personal websites!

@BrendanThompson@mastodon.social Never say never but I'm not planning on doing so anytime soon. But there sure is _a_ price that could convince me but I doubt anybody would be willing to pay it. 😀 I'm very interested in keeping this a fun thing that doesn't feel like work.

@chechoribero@mograph.social I expected yet another church on the inside but I was completely blown away. Incredible.

Not sure why the HDR-ness of the dailies looks so bad sometimes.

@eay@eay.social I thought about that but something about it feels... unclean. I somehow don't want the social media stuff on my pretty little website.

@BrendanThompson@mastodon.social What would you be willing to pay for something like that? (Asking out of curiosity, no ideas about the market or value of stuff like this)

@klyx@troet.cafe Stimmt, Avatar-Upload ist generell noch rough. Da gibt's mittelfristig Verbesserungen. Aktuell ist am einfachsten/besten ein quadratisches Bild hochzuladen.
