Did something called a 700c conversion two days ago on my ~80s Schwinn with the help of Community Cycling Center and their tools / work benches and couldn’t be happier.
Highly recommend, I wandered in saying “I think my bike needs to be changed?” and they walked me right through everything and sold me all the parts at a discount / found used stuff for me to repurpose.
Mechanic helping me let me do everything, and explained it at a level that was very accessible.

There is a band that practices within earshot of our rental and when our windows are closed every song of theirs sounds like, “Where is my mind?”
