Listening to Stu Horvath brilliantly describe what it’s like to get a new phone nowadays: “It used to be about checking out all the cool new stuff. Now it’s about turning shit off”

Chaosium may have a problem: Glorantha became the very thing that its critics warned us about. How did that happen? And what does that mean for my RuneQuest games? A lengthy essay about putting the play back in Glorantha. https://ludovic.chabant.com/blog/2026/05/12/rulequest-getting-glorantha-back-into-play/

Here's another rare #TTRPG review from me, this time on Brindlewood Bay! Read about the cool stuff we liked, the stuff we really did not like (ooh boy), and the stuff we'll tweak if and when we play a Brindlewood-based game again. https://ludovic.chabant.com/blog/2026/04/12/some-notes-on-brindlewood-bay/

It took 5 minutes for me to explain this amazing joke to my family at tonight’s dinner, but their face when they got it was totally worth it

Well that aged well 😒 From Mission: Impossible S01E10, the crew are undercover in a Russian (I think?) training program for sleeper agents in the US. They are “tested” by being fake-arrested by the police, and reprimanded for not resisting arrest, which is “the American Way”!

It’s interesting that foreign agents seem to spend their money a lot more on Albertan separatism, and not Quebecois. Either Quebec people better know what’s up, and know better than to be manipulated by shitty YouTube channels… or Russians and American can’t bother speaking French 😅 https://thetyee.ca/News/2026/05/07/Report-Warns-Russian-US-Disinformation-Alberta-Separatism/

The Lismelder tribe and the neighbouring foul Upland Marsh, home to Delecti the Necromancer and his zombie hordes, are now described in this wonderful sourcebook by David Hall and friends! I’ve got a couple of illustrations in here, check it out! https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/562474/marsh-attacks?affiliate_id=326228
