If I were the director of "Safety and Intelligence" at Meta, and my bot deleted my inbox, I would not post about it online.

first they came to tell me to use blockchain, but i did not, because i was not stupid
then they came to tell me to use nfts, but i did not, because i had a brain
then they came to tell me to use the metaverse, but i did not, because it was the third time and they weren't really trying
then they came to tell me to use ai, but i did not, because honestly at this point i was just tired of the whole thing
then they came to tell me that this next thing was a sure thing, and i was happy, and dead
Maybe #smallweb or someone can help (please RT)
I am part of a group of 5-10 people that are trying to asynchronously collaborate on a few related topics.
Normally for this I would recommend Discord, Slack, forums etc.
The problem is the only method of communication everyone is comfortable with is email.
Regular email gets really messy really quickly, with different threads, people's replies including all history, etc.
Is there nothing that uses email but is forum-y?
I will never let my kid read Harry Potter. There is far better, far less hateful stuff out there for kids.

sorry what, you want the autocomplete to think for you?

people shit on the US for being a capitalist hellscape (and they should)
but japan's version is capitalism refined and infused into the deepest parts of culture in a way that US corporations _wish_ they could do too
i want to get into messing around with simple #c programming on very simple devices
my whole life i've been doing stuff on desktops, but i want to muck around with basic hardware. not soldering stuff but making little programs that do boops and beeps
i have a raspberry pi but even that seems too complicated
what would people recommend?
there's definitely no way that this could create a much _worse_ situation in 10 years right?
I mean, the US would really _love_ a stable, prosperous middle-east, right?
cory doctorow is an ai-using lib charlatan

I have a gaming laptop (I know, my mistake for buying one) and it shuts down when playing taxing games. CPU 95C, GPU 88C, 98W load. No minidump, nothing interesting in events other than "unexpected shutdown".
Any suggestions for how to debug or get more info?
