Thank you very much to Crowdin for their support of the @typo3@typo3.social Localization Team! The team is currently on a sprint in Düsseldorf. In the breaks, we also have some fun with the Crowdin Jenga game!

TYPO3 14.2 will add native support for 🇱🇦 Lao language.
https://github.com/TYPO3/typo3/commit/734f5ef5208e24c56925998ce9a19652525102d5
Since a couple of days, TYPO3 is fully translated to Lao. 💪
Also some popular extensions have been translated, more to follow.

But you can also use the translation in older TYPO3 versions by adding some manual configuration to your TYPO3 installation:
Summary of the Contribution Night at the #TYPO3 Developer Days:
- Albrecht spotted a CSP issue in EXT:crowdin
- We as project managers in Crowdin are not informed if there are suggestions for changes to already approved translations and the translator does not notify us. Crowdin support team contacted on that.
- We learned that our Crowdin Glossary has a lot of duplicate. This should be fixed in the future.
- Julian has adapted about 50 labels of the German translation from Sie to du 💪

A new version of the TYPO3 Crowdin extension has been released by @xperseguers@mastodon.social:
https://extensions.typo3.org/extension/crowdin
The new release fixes some minor issues that we didn't see at first, and documents how to quickly switch languages, which wasn't obvious to everyone because it was provided by the Crowdin team itself, not our TYPO3 extension.
Thanks for testing, and have fun localising in your own projects! We would love to hear your feedback!
The #TYPO3 extension crowdin offers in-context localization of XLF files directly in the TYPO3 backend.
Created by Georg Ringer, the extension started as a proof of concept in 2019, was released in 2022, and now @xperseguers@mastodon.social has made it fit for all current TYPO3 versions. Go check it out and give us feedback!
#t3kudos also to @Prathers@mastodon.social for writing the documentation!
Ten days ago, we celebrated Martin Pribyl's (@ununik@mastodon.social) completion of the Czech 🇨🇿 translation of #TYPO3.
He has now written an inspiring article about how he tackled that huge project and what kept him motivated. It's definitely worth reading!
I hope it inspires others to start translating, too.
Currently, a team of five amazing people is working on the Albanian 🇦🇱 translation and has already reached almost 30%. Translation can also be a team effort!
