This Google keynote is weird. “We’re introducing a $100 a month plan” whoops and clapping…
Google I/O, they still find it hard not to be a bit creepy

I do look at this Gemini stuff and wonder why anyone wants this much automation in their lives. I just see the fat guys in chairs at the end of Wall-E.
Going greyscale on my phone
I’m not sure Android is making it into this keynote.
There’s an applause after almost very sentence.
Makes me glad that Apple prerecord theirs. Too much forced applause in too many places.
As someone that struggles with being neurodivergent, I’m not anti this AI stuff totally to help me get through a day ok BTW.
I’m not sure that showing a query that an actual user typed into Gemini in the keynote is helping Google not be creepy.
All this AI and token use talk, I’m guessing Google won’t have a slide on environmental impact in this IO presentation…
I sometimes lose faith in where the web has gone, then I come across a neat little site like this https://ukebuddy.com
