It seems like YouTube has started to roll out some new changes which is effectively blocking Piped and Invidious instances and other projects too. YouTube seems to be on a streak to severe every thing that bypasses them.

What are your opinions on this ?

This might get worse and Only Clients like FreeTube and NewPipe will exists in the end.

It seems that many people prefer to contact us via email with PGP. Encryption, we love it. But due to the existence of Matrix and Fosstodon. We almost forgot we had a email.

We are now sending replies to people who have mailed us. If you don't receive one at the instant you see. It might be because we are reading all of your mails.

A note on this regard, It is requested that not to email regarding instances, please ask the instance maintainer to be in official list.

@MKueppers@social.cologne Hi Michael, It is supposed to be that way in Windows. Because, you used the Registry file we gave in the website so as to, support sideloading of the extension in Chromium browsers which also helps updating the extension.

Hence why you see it. We can't do anything about it. For Thorium, It is based on the Actual Chromium project where there is no Chrome Web Store. So, No policies, you can load the extension without any problem or registry files.

@leeloo@techhub.social If they bring up a thing, No API access without account. Then all are doomed. Even if people use Google accounts in apps such as FreeTube and NewPipe, they will actively ban the accounts saying you are violating the terms of service, to stop people from using those apps.

Only Official YouTube but not logged will be the only way. It's all just a matter of time. They are doing it slowly not full-fledged.
