Matt 😎

@MattTheQuick @CoinOfNote Very nice! Over the weekend, I picked up a new1856 Large Cent. I now have both varieties of 1856 pennies (Upright and Slanting 5).

@MattTheQuick @CoinOfNote Welcome to the club! I only started collecting within the last year, and so far I've got about 9 of them, including this new one. Have you looked at collecting any half cents yet?

@MattTheQuick @CoinOfNote I think coin shows are a good way to find coins. You'll get local and out-of-town dealers, as well as hobbyists selling their collections. I live in Indianapolis, and we're fortunate to have a monthly show here. There's always a good variety of coins, and some really nice folks (and some grumpy old men). This past weekend, I drove with my buddy to Richmond (1 hour away) for their show. I bought that Large Cent, as well as an 1869 Shield Nickel (my first one).

@MattTheQuick @CoinOfNote There are a few places with calendars, but here's one. https://www.coinshows-usa.com Looks like there's a big, multi-day one happening this weekend!
