@DotMaetrix I simply do not understand why people keep insisting on writing any kind of trans advice with the goal of making clear statements of what is good and what isn't rather than collecting information so people can make those decisions themselves.
They certainly didn't get to this point themselves by doing and believing what others told them (i hope...) so why do they want others to do it?
What drives someone to write a comprehensive guide full of opinionated (I'm being nice here by not saying biased) generalized advice rather than an actual knowledge base? Why do people need to distribute their own opinions this way?
I feel like i know the answer even though i can't put it into words. But it's probably similar to why someone would describe themselves "the most [positive adjective] transsexual in the world".
I guess it's a working strategy for online popularity. But that's about it.
