Aletsch Glacier is the largest glacier in Europe, but just like the others it is also slowly dying. By 2100, the glacier is estimated to have only one-tenth of its present ice mass.
By then, most of the other glaciers around will be long gone.

Weather forecast for the weekend was saying 34 degrees of C in Zurich, so we decided to cool down in the Alps. We went through Albulapass, Malojapass and Splugenpass, swam in three Alpine lakes to refresh (one more lake was too freezing cold for a swim), admired huge Acquafraggia Waterfalls in Italy, drank beer while soaking legs in Rhine, grilled in cozy places, whistled to Marmots, and surprised one beautiful badger on a trail. When we get back to home, 34 degrees caught us anyway. :)

Just few pics from third visit... Some places never get boring.

This was a good choice: escape cold, foggy home to enjoy warm, sunny days in Madeira. Beautiful cliffs and great hikes!

After seven years break, I hiked back to Rigi Kulm. For a nice sunset.

From all the many countries I visited, it's the one I keep coming back. My third trip to Iceland. This time with parents, so a bit more luxury way. :)
