Klynok (meaning “saber blade” in Ukrainian) is a shapeshifting type system inspired by Ukrainian Cossack Baroque heritage. It also draws from the image of the Cossack-kharakternyk, a warrior figure from Ukrainian folklore believed to transform into a wolf.

2/2 What energizes me most is giving lectures and workshops and knowing that I am in a truly conscious society that doesn’t believe in half measures, doesn’t tolerate evil, and knows the value of life. Everyone donates money to Ukraine’s defense forces, for weapons, and supports one another. It’s hard as hell, yes. But only here do I feel alive. I hope things are going well in your world and in the world of type.

@ANRT@typo.social Please be so kind as to provide answers and clarify (or rather confirm) your official position regarding support of russia. Also, please explain why you are violating the law by conducting business with russia, a country that is under EU sanctions.

@ANRT@typo.social It would be useful for you and everyone to read the comments. I have no more words. https://www.instagram.com/p/DVQld7Mkcvz/?igsh=MWp4emp5cmxvZXhqYQ==
My Klynok typeface has won a D&AD Awards Wood Pencil ❤️
30,000 submissions from 85 countries this year. The first-ever D&AD Pencil in the type design category for Ukraine. This victory means a lot to Ukrainian Cyrillic and to raising awareness about it worldwide. And it means a lot to me.
Grateful to everyone who guided, helped and supported me throughout this journey. @esadtype@mastodon.social
Honored to be speaking in person at Stanford University on May 7 about Ukrainian Cyrillic at the invitation of Stanford SILICON. If you’re around, I’d be happy to see you there.
