For the people wondering where to start, a question that came up during the workshop, you can replace cloud image storage with #immich and you can start as simple as you want, and expand it into a more cloud-like service as you start your homelab journey. As for hardware, so many of us have older PCs we can use, almost any PC made in the last 10-12 years will be fine for a first step

@XR_Norway@social.rebellion.global @hackeriet@chaos.social @attacnorge@snabelen.no There's a fun YT channel called Switch and click, some of it isn't totally realistic for a lot of people, but she has some good videos of where she started and what to look out for as she started moving towards digital independence, with what was taught in the workshop, in mind, regardless of your tech-skill level, you will be on the right path.
