One of the greatest gifts I have ever been given...
Getting a job where i didnt have to wear a fucking shirt and tie.
For 25 fucking years that shit felt like a noose!
It is almost designed to raise the blood pressure and limit the life of men.
All hail a casual dress code.
Time for a reminder.
I'm 46. I started releasing music when I was 41. I'm outwardly uncool. No special characteristics. My music is not on trend.
However...
A dedication to grow, learn and never take no for an answer has seen my music be projected into national radio, and in real music magazines.
All without PR, adverts or a manager.
You can do this.
I believe in you.
"We don't need these fancy restaurants, to walk around, we don't need to take a train ride around this town. Don't need to waste no more time, or lie around, we don't need to worry more, just look what we found.
If I come back.
If I come back."
From "Return" a song I wrote on the train as I left her behind... the first time.
A bonus track on the album "Pixelation" by Kiffie. That's me.
The loudest are usually the guilty.
I am online purely to share in the joy of making music, making connections, and absolutely to share my music.
Authenticity and credibility are in everything I do, but you dont need to take my word for it.
Listen to my music and to how many mistakes I've made.
Morning! How are you today?
I have some news about my bandcamp page...
I have updated my page to reflect my whole journey to act as a diary of how artists like me develop over time.
Everything in my "archive" is free to download.
Perhaps it might inspire you?
My intention is to show you that artist development is not linear.
I wrote a lot of music over the last 5 years.
My subject? Life, love, loss and lies.
Please check out my profile here.
Have a great day.
Between January 2021 and today I have released 21 albums and 11 EPs including collaborations with many other artists.
I have also organised various charity compilations some of which are on my main page, some on their own page and which feature over 50 independent artists.
My bandcamp page now reflects this incredible explosion of creativity.
I would love it if you would like to have a visit.
We all begin somewhere... this... is my beginning.
Bandcamp Update!
Later today, all of my music will be back on bandcamp. Some will have new artwork and some will be clearly labeled as archive material.
It is time to show you all how I got here, where I am, and hopefully give you an idea of where I'm heading...
I choose not to be frightened anymore.
Profile update!! woop! #woop!
I wrote, recorded, produced and released an EP in one 12 hour session last year. I try to this as challenge for me once a year.
The only instruments I used was a Roland TR-08, a JX-08 and my voice.
What I made is best described as minimalist dark-wave / electronica.
If you'd like to hear what "Justice" sounds like then let me know in the comments!
The album "Approaching the Horizon" carries the concept of love being infinite and a fundamental force of nature. And yes, it is on #bandcamp and #subvert
"Dark Matter" opens the album with a musical callback to the second in the trilogy... a song about the immeasurability of passion and of feeling like you are always destined to be alone... as the album develops, the cosmic theme makes it clear, we will be united at the end of time...
Some people use social media to "other" people they dont know... to signal to out groups that other outgroups are "bad people". They lie because they are unhappy with who they are and have nothing to offer the world except negativity. I think we should pity them. I call it "mal-addiction".
This clip has some flashy images. But nothing too intense.
In 2014 I was booked to sing a song for a WW1 remembrance concert. I practised and practised on my guitar for months to make sure it was perfect.
The day before the concert, I came down with laryngitis. The only time in my life I've ever had it.
I still went to the concert and played the guitar part as best I could. I hope the people in the audience were singing the words in their heads.
Earlier today, I got a voicemail from an elderly lady, it was a wrong number.
Something about her message made me think she was lonely and needed some help.
At first, I thought about just deleting it.
But, I called her back, told her she had a wrong number, and then asked if there was anything she needed.
She was ok in the end. But I could hear her smile.
"Your Desire" is a #song about circumstances... external instability that creates a sort of helpless feeling... the inability to get to where you want to be. Those #synths are pure hardware goodness!
It is available on #subvert and on #bandcamp two great platforms that support independent artists like me.
Have you ever had your happiness limited by external factors? Does it sound like this?
And I want you to know by listening to the album. You can use these codes on bandcamp to get the album for free.
Thank you.

So this is cool.
Big thanks to @kidlightbulbs@musicworld.social for making this!
Did you know the best places at the moment to support my music is bandcamp or subvert. Downloading one album is worth more than 10,000 streams on any streaming site. These are the places to show that independent art matters to you!
Yes. This is real.
No I dont use AI.
Yes, most of this I wouldn't share directly.
Yes, I have released music more recently.
Yes, you can be part of this.
Who needs government and media propaganda when they've recruited millions of people on social media to do it for them?
Is anyone here to talk about art, love, creativity and friendship?
Perhaps this track "intro" might surprise you. It was a live recorded piano improvisation. Maybe something you might not have expected from me?
I have reduced the price of all of my "archive" releases to zero. This means, if you buy my discography, which would be amazing, you would receive over 30 full length albums and EPs for £27.50.
This discography represents one man's ambition to improve and learn and grow.
It is a "warts and all" collection showing you, hopefully, that progress is not linear, and that mistakes are a natural part of the creative process.
Perhaps it might inspire you?
Agree. But i would have called it something else.
Good Morning!
If you should be in need of some warm synth tones and haunting vocals then you will find links to my bandcamp and subvert on my profile.
You can listen as much as you want, wherever you want, for free.
If you are feeling flush then any support is hugely appreciated 💙 though trust me, i know times are hard.
Thank you and have a really good day!
You deserve all your dreams,
Ambitions and love.
Whatever you do, don't demean what you've accomplished, degrade your growth or, make yourself as small as others would have you be.
Be entirely as amazing as you are. And tell the world!
Time for a regular reminder that bandcamp has a thing where artists can recommend music by other artists. For about 5 years ive recommended the same artists.
One of those is Saint Martyn: their new album is incredible... disturbing yet powerful. Gothic electronica that is her best release yet!
Here's their album. Also check out "Smile"
I hope you have a had a good day.
As it is Friday here still I would like to ask all fans of synthpop, darksynth, independent music, and concept albums to help me share my album that is below.
Each sale is the equivalent of thousands of streams. Plus you get to own the wavs!
If you do decide to get it, thank you! And... I will send you a code for any other album of your choice for free. You'll also enter a draw to win all my physical media, 4 CDs and 2 Vinyl Records.

"It doesn't help any cause,
Takes less effort to close the door,
don't shout, don't rage, share lies,
As you dehumanise.
There's only one right way,
Only one right thing to say,
No perspective is valid but yours,
And you're too busy slamming doors."
See below...
I couldn't do this without you. So thank you! So much!
But it feels real! And I'm so scared!
Will you come and follow me on bandcamp?
To be clear, I dont want hollow follows, not there and not anywhere else.
If you love creativity, growth and honest, authentic, genuine and deeply emotional music that isnt even pretending to try to be mainstream sameness... perhaps you might like what im doing?
Translated song titles on my latest album...
1. You are amazing.
2. Please be happy.
3. I'm sorry our situation is difficult.
4. I'm telling you it is ok to let me go.
5. Remember what we had.
6. I will miss you.
7. You will always be an angel to me.

Part of the point of this musical project was to get the ideas recorded and released. For posterity. Ideas can always be revisited later!
2021 was a great year for working with others. We formed a choir!
Hope everyone has had a really positive few days.
I have.
Oh I really really have.
Make music. Not war!
I am again encouraged, due to some very sad news from some friends, to let you know that love just simply doesn't disappear when the people you love go.
"Ambitions" is a song that I believe will help you. If not today then at some point in the future. Though you may not be able to see it now.
Your love is real.
For fans of human made music, Star Trek and Babylon 5.
This post is only for people using the "enlightened" algorithm ok.

Another from 2021 now... "Stay in Bed" is a sort of darkly humorous song... when you just know there's not going to be any good news, and that another crisis is sure to ruin your plans.
I like reflecting on the ideas I had then... if only the execution was decent 😁
"Who Will be Left?" was obviously an album that reflected the times don't you think?
