I'm not a fan of the direction of all the ebikes from decent respectable companies having shitty thumb throttles and custom shaped batteries integrated into the frames. I wish we could have a solid, well made and standard/consistent form of critical components like batteries, controllers, connectors and displays.
Maybe these fancy custom features seem nice and "differentiating" but what happens when the model is discontinued and your display buttons/custom battery/etc start to fail? You're just gonna junk the whole thing?
Tibias are so weird. Clavicles too. At least to me, because I can feel them so clearly. Like there is so little separating them from the outside of my body.
This sound pretty awesome!

I just learned about the Fisher DAC-145. It's a combo 5 disc CD changer and turntable. I need one.
In my mind #solarpunk is usually like this cool scrappy, stick it to the man, fantasy stuff that seems unachievable for some reason...in my head.
Then I realize I am:
- dumpster diving a bunch of cardboard to smother out all of the existing turf grass
- diverting truckloads of mulched tree trimmings from the landfill and mulching my food forest with them
- scavenging yard waste from the alley to compost
- Planting native ground covers in place of grass
- Growing food well adapting to my climate and sharing with with neighbors, friends and family
- Trading native and edible plants and seeds with neighbors, friends and family
Ok, I guess that does seem pretty solarpunk.
Listening to this podcast, I just learned that scientists now think plants take up nutrients by blasting microbes in the soil with oxygen from the tips of their roots to kill them and then consume their carcasses. In a way all plants might be carnivorous.
