Hi, I'm Karl Ostendorf — software developer in Osnabrück, Germany, originally from Chicago via 20 years in the German countryside.
Into #SelfHosting, #OpenSource tooling, European-hosted infrastructure, and building things that stay understandable over time.
Currently tinkering with #Golang, #TypeScript, #RSS, and Jellyfin/ffmpeg.
Day job: software engineer at a hyperscaler. Before that: 10 years freelance — an experience I'd wish on every dev.
