@Parasite@kolektiva.social @jenniferplusplus@tech.lgbt we live in a capitalist system,, but point to point trade between artists and purchasers could occur in a socialist economy. Bartering is one of the most basic human interactions

@Skawt@hachyderm.io @kfury@mstdn.social @misc@mastodon.social as always, telling that people aren't serious on the net is a non trivial task

@Skawt@hachyderm.io @kfury@mstdn.social @misc@mastodon.social it was more the killing someone each time that I was concerned about. You are saying you would be OK with strangers being killed if you profit?

@Skawt@hachyderm.io @kfury@mstdn.social @misc@mastodon.social Are you actually serious?

@Parasite@kolektiva.social @jenniferplusplus@tech.lgbt I suppose this comes down to how you define capitalism, I guess. To me, capitalism is defined by empowering capital to exploit labour and political processes (rent seeking behaviour, regulatory capture etc) whereas artisans selling directly is workers selling their own labour. That seems a million miles from capitalism, to me. YMMV
