Google Music was one of the best things Google ever made. You could upload your personal MP3s to it, categorize it as you want, listen as much as you want.

Then Google Music became YouTube Red. It was still basically the same service and for free you got adless YT across devices without adblock.

Now, they are doing this obnoxious fucking device locking. I am in a cafe so there's noise. I want to listen to music and block out noise, so I put a brown noise YT video and combine it with music. Every time a new song comes on, I get a complaint I'm using two devices at once.

What's worse is if I switch to my MATI channel, I get a complaint on YouTube Music that my account switched and my brand channel doesn't have YouTube Red so I get region locked again. I think there'd be ads if I wasn't also running AdNauseum.

I know that bankers are a more genuine international evil, but copyright and advertisers are a more personally aggravating evil I would love to see murdered in my lifetime.

Reminder that chat messages on the Fedi are totally unencrypted and can be read by both instance admins on both sides and any bad actors that access the instance. They also do not appear to expire. Never send confidential information by Fedi DM.

kiwifarms.cc is being spun up again (finally). If you manage an instance, you may need to manually inform your software that our instance is no longer dead in order for federation to work correctly.
