@otfrom @katemorley yep, just realised the screenshot shows ~3.1gw of curtailment, which is more than gas generation. So could be totally free of non-renewables today if we had the transmission lines from north to south.

@katemorley could be an extra ~3.8gw of wind when the Dogger Bank and Sofia wind farms are at full potential.

@L___@troet.cafe @ianbetteridge@social.vivaldi.net salaries didn’t change, and most people find they are more productive during those nine days so there’s been no issue with the work getting done. Everyone likes it.

@cabel usually it’s my dad asking me, and he messages “call me asap please”. One day it’ll be a real emergency and I’ll ignore it for a day.
@ianbetteridge@social.vivaldi.net the company I work for allows a nine day fortnight, as long as the work gets done. A four day week would be even nicer, but it’s a good start and made such a difference.

perhaps @zsk@mastodonapp.uk as the BBC’s tech correspondent can make some suggestions internally.

@TechConnectify I never clean my dishwasher filter manually, I just empty it out in the trash then put it on a shelf in the dishwasher when I do a cleaning cycle so there are no dirty dishes with food remains that need filtering.

This is the model more media organisations should be using. All the BBC journalists and accounts on a BBC controlled server, etc for The Guardian, etc.

@zsk@mastodonapp.uk @charlesarthur@newsie.social @viticci@mastodon.macstories.net @macstories@mastodon.macstories.net good question, but I see many journalists put their org in their Twitter handles already and need to change that when they leave/move. Mastodon already supports migrating followers to a different server, but content remains on the original server, which would make for a nice archive of their work at that org.
