Fun storm in #yyc last night #photography

I posted that picture in a climbing group on Facebook and within 30 minutes the climbers were identified. I’ve been in contact with one of the climbers and sent them my images, he was grateful! Turns out they were trying a new route of the emperor face of Robson that they’d been scoping out for years. As far as they know, it was the first ascent of that line, and it’s absolutely bonkers. Small world out there. #BCParks #mountaineering

@sundogplanets@mastodon.social perhaps one of my favorite experiences was taking a class at the U of Calgary taught by a paleontologist affiliated with the museum and going on a behind-the-scenes tour with her and the curator. I’ve since been back twice. You’re right, it’s a remarkable place!
