I've had banana phone stuck in my head for a few days, and I'm kinda ok with it. I miss the fun internet.
RE: @brentsimmons@indieweb.social
As a very occasional Mac developer, I still start with Objective-C. I still like it a lot, and it's _stable_.
But then I navigated to some random page in Safari, adding draggable=true to a random H2 element, and that element became draggable. So it's something I'm doing. 😕
Can anyone recommend good tutorials on drawing small icons (like the size you'd stick in a sidebar) from the before-flat-design times?
@panic@social.panic.com If I may ask, is there a particular version of WebKit that Nova uses for preview panes? I have a weird issue with draggable elements that presents in Safari 26.4 and the most recent Safari Tech Preview, but _not_ in Nova's previews and I'm trying to figure out where the difference is.
Heh, fun quote on Wikipedia's iOS 6 page:
"Craig Grannell of TechRadar wrote that "iOS 6 is rather like the iPhone 5 or OS X Mountain Lion - the refinement of something that already works extremely well. Apple isn't overhauling things for the sake of it but, in the main, making the iOS experience gradually better. That in itself is something other companies would do well to emulate.""
Music, iOS 18: is there any way to reorder tracks in a playlist? The obvious drag and drop doesn't work, and I don't see anything useful in the context menu.
I have not yet updated to Numbers 15. I have a couple of spreadsheets I use for tracking bills and finances that I've been sharing with my wife for years and we still use an iMac on Ventura so I've been sticking with Numbers 14.5 for now.
Apple's already cut off shared documents for Numbers 14.5, so that sucks, but I'm pretty sure there's a failed process still trying to sync things, because I lost a ton of edits in my bills spreadsheet. So that's great. Thanks Apple.
Silly thing that makes me feel good: I have a bit of CSS in my project that flips the button order in dialogs to match the normal platform button order.
It's amazing how often the Weather complication (or app) on an Apple Watch just doesn't work.
Stupid story about me: I've been (very slowly) rewatching Buffy over the last several years, mostly while working out. I stopped, probably over a year ago now, when I reached "The Body".
I can't watch that one without giving it my full attention. It's not a background episode.
