#introductions I am an anomaly in the Fediverse: born in 1954 (Year of the Horse), lived my entire life in a Third World country, very well versed in the nuances & foibles of American culture, gay porn dilettante, trained as a medical doctor, created a blog on gardening shows in the early '90s, IT nerd, infosec freak, foodie, music enthusiast of Baroque to BoyBands (& everything in between), living blissfully alone with too much time on my hands, & now dipping my toes into Mastodon.

I have been watching "Escape to The Chateau" for 8 years, and sadly, the series is coming to an end with its ninth year. I will miss the portly engineer-chef Dick and the designer-mom Angel. Angel would have been a perfect model for Peter Paul Rubens.
I have been a follower of #bobsburgers for the past 13 years. VR and all the mess that #meta tries so hard to force on us is not going to work.
[Also saw the Halloween episode of #thesimpsons, which referenced #bobsburgers towards the end of the episode. Hilarious.]
I finally mastered the fuss-free fail-free technique of making my favorite snack topping, #dulcedeleche , in a #slowcooker. It may take a while, but it's worth the wait. Yum yum.
I finished watching the 2013 3-part TV series "Medieval Lives: Birth, Marriage, Death" and finally understood the concept of Purgatory, Extreme Unction, Plenary Indulgences, All Souls' Day (celebrated every November 2) and Masses for the Dead.
