@usul@piaille.fr not sur for emails If I remember correctly age has been more reactive to fixing the recently disclosed vulnerabilities

@nf3xn@mastodon.social now let's do a little anticipation and reason on basis of the reverse centaur hypothesis. What happens when senior engineers inevitably miss things and signoff on a change which triggers an outage. They will ultimately get fired. So there will be less and less senior engineers to sign off on changes increasing the review burden and thus the risk of mistakes slipping through until there are no senior engineers left or willing to signoff on anything In both cases delivery will stop

@fanf42@social.treehouse.systems @matthieu@framapiaf.org my SMA solar inverter is from Germany. Solar edge is from Israel both are large providers. So there are alternatives With that said, yes there is a risk that a large inverter operator (or hackers taking control) launches a coordinated shutdown during a time of peak production. IIRC this would crash the European electric grid as the available redundancy are not enough and couldn't be brought online fast enough. I also agree we need more open hardware, locally operated systems

@jlargentaye somehow they must be getting a share of the profits

@ez@chaos.social what would "i dumped your comments in Gemini, asked it to write an answer I didn't read and considered that answer enough that the meeting is no longer necessary" be ?

@ez@chaos.social sorry I was unclear the important part is they didn't bothe rrescheduling the meeting convinced the llm answer was enough
