Delaying scrutiny will not make questions about Britain's role in Gaza disappear. The government must establish an inquiry into British complicity in genocide, now.

One of my constituents, Will, has produced a really powerful documentary about food poverty in the UK.
"Crunch Point" is an 11-minute hand-drawn animation exploring the stories of people supported by food banks.

My statement on Israel's decision to ban me and 10 other British MPs from entry.
"I have visited all parts of Palestine on several occasions, where I have witnessed the horrors of occupation, as well as the resilience and humanity of the Palestinian people.
They are the ones who suffer from Israel's apartheid. It is their freedom which is egregiously curtailed, alongside thousands of Palestinian refugees who are denied the right of return.
As the world wakes up to the genocide in Gaza, it is shocking that Israel continues to deny entry to UN investigators and international journalists. Israel doesn't want the world to see what it is doing - but we can never give up in our attempts to expose the truth.
That is the real scandal. Israel’s genocide cannot go unpunished - and I will keep speaking up for peace, freedom and justice for the Palestinian people."
I won’t lose any sleep over being condemned by Israel.
What I deplore is its despicable treatment of the Palestinian people — and I will never stop speaking out against the occupation.

On BBC Newsnight, Victoria Derbyshire put my demand to a Labour minister: Will you end the sale of F-35 parts to Israel?
His response: antisemitism.
A disgraceful, shameless attempt to deflect from the truth: Britain is still arming the occupation and facilitating genocide.
Today marks 50 days since Andy Burnham took office.
I have written to him to demand that he finally recognises the genocide in Gaza, imposes a full arms embargo, and establishes a public inquiry into Britain's complicity in crimes against humanity.
Today marks 25 years since the attacks of September 11.
We remember all those whose lives were lost and shattered that day. And we honour the bravery of first responders, many of whom are still battling illnesses and campaigning for their right to healthcare.
What followed was a catastrophic 'War on Terror', which killed many hundreds of thousands of people, left many more in desperate poverty, fuelled a wave of Islamophobia, and triggered an endless spiral of conflict, hatred and misery.
The US led, and Britain supinely followed. The world is still living with the consequences of this disastrous decision, yet there is still no accountability for the death and destruction it left behind.
Today, we must learn the lessons of history. That means recognising that war is not the answer, ending the horrors of occupation, and striving to build a world of peace and harmony for all.
Tune in for Day 2 of the Peace and Justice Conference now!
RT: @AJEnglish Jeremy Corbyn, former leader of the UK Labour Party, speaks out after being barred from entering Israel along with other British MPs, accusing the country of trying to escape scrutiny over Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
Great to meet my friend Hasan Piker at Manifiesta, a festival organised by the Belgian Workers Party.
Hasan is still banned from the UK - an absurd decision that must be reversed, now.
Well done to Hasan for refusing to be quiet in the face of genocide & apartheid!
Britain must end all forms of complicity with Israel's illegal occupation of Palestine.
My interview with @AJEnglish.
Sanctions on illegal settlements are welcome, but not enough.
Britain must end all arms sales, all military cooperation, and all forms of support that sustain Israel’s system of apartheid, occupation and genocide.
I have written to Mark Rowley, the Met Police Commissioner, urging him to retract his baseless claims about our demonstrations for Palestine.
Our marches are made of people of all faiths and none — and we will never stop campaigning until Palestine is free.
This is a reckless act of escalation that endangers us all. No discussion. No debate. What a disgrace.
How on earth can the Prime Minister still pretend we are not involved?
It doesn't matter how he dresses it up. Britain is participating in an illegal war of aggression.
Donald Trump has threatened to destroy every bridge & power plant in Iran, vowing to bomb the county “back to the Stone Age.”
We warned our government it was dragging Britain into an illegal war — and that the consequences would be catastrophic.
Enough. End UK complicity now!
Our government is still supplying arms to Israel as it continues to bomb, starve & dispossess the Palestinian people.
That is why thousands of us continue to demonstrate — and that is why we reject disgraceful attempts to malign our movement for peace.

When you pander to the far-right, you embolden the far-right.
Never concede ground to those who sow hatred. Instead, stand up to racism, defend our common humanity, and inspire hope in a better world!
Proud to join half a million people marching against racism and the far-right.
This is just the beginning. Tomorrow, we carry on organising, carry on mobilising, and carry on campaigning for a more equal and peaceful world.
No refugee underfunded a hospital. No refugee closed a school. No refugee gave tax breaks to the rich.
Instead of scapegoating refugees, let's tackle the real problem: an unjust economic system that concentrates wealth in the hands of the few.
RT: @thisisyourparty@mastox.eu Tonight, the House of Commons is voting on Labour's Crime and Policing Bill.
This is yet another assault on our civil liberties from a political class desperate to repress the movement for Palestine.
We will not be cowed 🇵🇸✊️
What a disgraceful and patronising way to treat healthcare staff working hours on end to look after us all.
These training posts are vital for the future of our NHS. To use them as bargaining chips is appalling.
Time to end privatisation and fund the NHS properly instead.
