@tinker@infosec.exchange Hiding certain (read: docker containers) ‘data streams’ from my ISP is the reason I am using Mullvad. My phone also connects to my home router with a VPN when connecting to another WiFi besides my own. This is so I can access services at home while away and also to secure my traffic on public WIFI access points.

I'm looking for #selfhosted software that can handle #comics and #eBooks I needs to handle different users, tracks progresses and is able to sync with an e-reader.

Willing to buy an e-reader for this, so colour is preferred.

What e-reader and software can handle this? ❤️ #FOSS & European brands.

@mboelen @nllgg Prima artikel denk ik. Ook een goede weergave van de werkelijkheid. Ik heb wel het gevoel dat steeds meer distro’s iets doen aan het versimpelen van de installatie. Windows was daar ook niet altijd de simpelste.

Today I’m going to setup an #Unraid server at a friend. It is my old server, we’re modifying it a bit and then I will help him set it up.

I wil provide him with my templates for docker so it we keep the directory structure the same he will be up and running in no time.

I think my self-hosting rebellion has rubbed off.. 😉

This will be a fun day, I love doing this stuff. 🤓

Wow. Just spend about 3 hours in a video call with a friend. My iPhone served as a webcam, he used a webcam and both connected via Firefox/LibreWolf. He used Win11 and I was using Linux.

Sharing screens, sending files, talking and typing to each other.

This just worked!

The VM didn’t break a sweat while having access to two ‘Efficient-cores’ and 4gb of RAM it only used 9% and 700MB to run the VM and doing a video call.

Je kunt die installeren op Debian gebaseerde distro’s. Zoals Ubuntu of Mint. Als je dat niet draait, maar iets anders zoals #fedora of #bazzite dan kun je het beste een distrobox draaien en daar Signal installeren op de bovenstaande manier. Dat doe ik liever dan een Flatpak gebruiken die niet officieel is.
