As Jesus said at the Last Supper, "I have a bad feeling about this."
Keep it going.

Jason Didner and the GSPs covered 'A Girl Like You' by The Smithereens ahead of our show at Crossroads in Garwood, NJ — a venue Pat DiNizio called home. The band took a moment to acknowledge it. Grateful. 🙏
I was responding to a FB post in a group when it was taken down. The question: "Do you listen to musicians because of their politics?"
I was writing this answer but there was no place to put it once the post was removed. So, here goes...
Music is what animates a movement. Can you imagine the Vietnam protests of the 60s without its soundtrack? Not all musicians are in it to keep the beat to a movement. Some are there to make you dance, bring the party.
Radio Alert! World premiere of “You-Know-Who” on @BlowUpRadio@gardenstate.social in 7pm hour Eastern this evening. BlowUpRadio presents New NJ Music.

Happening now! New NJ Music with Lazlo on BlowUpRadio. He’ll premiere a track from my upcoming album “Asbury Heart” before it’s released.
People in the audience used to tell me at my early gigs in the 90s that I sound like Elvis Costello. You can see for yourselves whether or not they were right about this.
Great story! My encounters with famous musicians are mostly online these days. Going back, I've been to an Aimee Mann album signing in NYC. She was gracious and good to meet. And I met Phil Collen from Def Leppard in the stands at a Bon Jovi concert in NJ. As a guitarist myself, I got to tell him how much I liked Def Leppard's 2-guitar approach.
One of the great legends of the Jersey Shore is that "you-know-who" might show up and give a surprise performance at the end of the night. As a young working musician I got caught up in that hype once. Decades later, it found its way into a song.

I think the very stable genius is off his sleep meds. 🤨
I was not in the antenna's reach when I was a teenager. Decades later when I saw a documentary about this scrappy modern rock radio station run out of someone's house in Eatontown, NJ, I was floored by the story, and inspired to write a song about it.

"That Ain’t Luck" salutes the couples who stick it out and make love last a lifetime.
