The whole foundation of generative AI is built on colonial frameworks i.e systems ran by colonialst institutions/companies, designed to extract labour and erase authentic knowledge. ‘AI’ is simply the latest tool of extraction of wealth and labour from marginalized and working-class people. So it won’t matter how much people ask for ‘ethical’ AI legislation. That system is rotten to the very core, and it frankly needs to be burned to the ground along with every other system of oppression.
