@juergen_hubert@mementomori.social In my DnD campaign, Greyhawk derived, elves aren't immortal, but where they live time passes differently, like some islands of Irish Folklore. So the same elf could met you great great grandfather, or be present in founding of the realm, thousands of years ago, but for the elf it was just some time ago,and not ages. That solves the problem of elves being thousands years old but having the common sense and experience of the average Joe. And Dwarves are basically Discworld Dwarves. In fact I say to Dwarf players (players of dwarf characters, not really dwarf players) to not choose a gender before play, but reveal it whenever it could be interesting to the story.

@netspooky@haunted.computer people, that is why shady business practices have to be curtailed by the state and not by some invisible hand of the market. If you live in a well developed area you can count with competition as a consumer advantage, but the vast majority of people live where there's not much choice of goods and services.
